Yelp Assists BMW Online Users On the Road

Regular road travelers know that when driving into a new city or town it can be difficult to get off the beaten path and find a really good restaurant or place to park. To solve this problem BMW is teaming up with Yelp to bring drivers access to information and reviews for local businesses around the country.

Yelp will be tied into BMW Online, which is a service BMW provides that connects with the internet to bring in the latest information about a certain location. An example scenario would be if you were on a road trip and stopped in a new city to grab a bite to eat and take a break. You fire up BMW Online and Yelp suggests a restaurant just off the beaten path and even reads the reviews to you over the sound system.

The Yelp feature will be available to drivers who own a navigation equipped BMW sedan, coupe or SUV. Also, those subscribing to the BMW Assist Convenience Plan can get access to the new Yelp service starting right away.

Those BMW owners who own a navigation-equipped vehicle but maybe aren't subscribed to BMW Assist, will need to activate their account before gaining access to Yelp. Among the many other features of BMW Assist are, Bluetooth hands-free calling, voice-recognition, and instant connection to specialists for everything from emergencies to directions to current traffic details.

If you currently own a BMW or are interested in purchasing one, come down to BMW Gallery of Norwell on 98 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, MA 02061.
